Peer Feedback
In my class students give each other peer feedback on a writing project, but it would be great to do this electronically.
I may consider a wiki where they would post their writing and then others could comment sort of non private? Could use Google Docs and peers could comment using the comment option and it would be more private.
Stepahnie Sukie
Create a Presentation
When completing our Mystery Unit, my kids have to show their understanding of a mystery by creating a skit. Use of technology would engage the kids on a completely different level.
Use of Photostory, Moviemaker, iMovie
Brandi Davis
Conducting an Interview
When conducting interviews, there are usually only face-to-face interviews. Sometimes, individuals are called back for two and three interviews and often do not get the job.
Considering the amount of technology an interviewee may have, incorporating imovie or Moviemaker to conduct a preliminary interview would be extremely beneficial.
Rhonda Shure/Ravenna
Creating at Timeline
Students prepare a timeline "Evolution of Computers" dating from 3000 BC with the Abacus, to modern day. They do research on evolving hardware and the creators of same.
New technologies to use, in addition to the powerpoints and web design, would be to include photostory or moviemaker using clips of interviews from some of the famous persons of old such as Grace Hopper who was very instrumental in the development of the ENIAC, modern day such as Steve Wosniak, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates. Use of voice thread, youtube, podcast from interviews would also work well.
Richard Pierce
Recreating History
Students make scripts to re-enact important events in the unit we are studying. Research important names, dates, and quotes to get the needed facts.
Use moviemaker or iMovie
Jonathan Hatch
Listen to Audio
Students listen and watch lessons on youtube or discovery education on a major concept, such as the Pythagorean Theorem that they may have not grasped from my teaching methods.
Youtube, Discovery Education, or Podcasts could be used.
Lorie Marozzi
Group Discussion
During Staff Meetings, teachers in small groups share thoughts and exchange ideas from questions designed to build knowlege of technological options and skills during instruction.
Wikis, blogs, or chats. Some listings from above could be used, too, but I am not familiar with most of them.

Group Dicussion
This was created by my Literacy Coach for staff members to keep in touch over the summer and share ideas and thoughts for the next school year. As I talked to the literacy coach we could use this next school year in our Professional Learning Communities as another way to communicate and share ideas online as well as with teachers at other schools in our district.

Science Lab or Demonstration
Some labs are too dangerous or costly to do in the classroom, anymore. This could be done by teacher or student chosen examples to show what happens when... This also would be a help to those learners who have problems with physical or reading abilities. I still find that most students will pay attention and learn from good demos and videos, even after all the years I have been teaching.

Create a Time line and interpret the information
My students are to be able to create and interpret multi-tiered timel ines in Social Studies. Students create Time lines by determining what events will go on the top line and what events will go on the bottom. They then need to create questions that require their classmates to interpret the information they have place on their two lines

Create a Presentation
To begin each year, students create a poster and give a presentation called, "Who Am I". They can use photos, magazines, other crafty materials, etc. Their poster must represent them. However, to integrate 21st century skills, students could create this presentation on the computer through a variety of methods - instead of using a poster, which usually gets thrown away!.
Voice thread, imovie, PowerPoint

Create a multi-media poem
Students will select a current event from the newspaper with which they feel an emotional connection (humor, sadness, anger, etc.) and compose a poem. After typing and animating the words/lines of the poem, they will illustrate it through scanned photos, downloaded clip art or photos, drawings or altered images, or even video that illustrates the theme or the emotion. Then they will create a musical sound track that supports the mood of the poem, and finally record a voiceover coordinating the animated words of their poem to their spoken words. They will comment on the current by summarizing it for the class, explaining why they chose this article, and the emotion it evoked in them as they read it.

Excel Survey Project
In my 6th grade technology class, I have my students do a project learning the basics of Excel. To make it more fun and interesting to the students, I pick their topic based on their All About Me assignment they first did at the beginning of the class rotation. From there, the students narrow down their topic into four different questions that could be used for survey. They then type out the questions and make a table in Word that the students can print out to ask their family and friends their survey question. The students come back witht their "data" and we put it into Excel, using the basics and also create graphs from their data, they then present it to the class when their project is finished. Even though I already use a lot of technology in this project, thinking about the TPACK framework , I feel that next year I can use even more! It will be much more engaging and fun for the students too!
Computers applications of Word & Excel, podcasts (using Audacity or Garageband), surveys using Google Docs or Survey Monkey (online surveys), and VoiceThreads.

Communication with staff members and professional development
As an administrator I tried to relate 21st century skills as it relates to my work. One simple area I think we could improve on is communicating the daily attendance. I would like to see the absent sheet be an electronic document. Our high school currently does this with google docs. Another area of improvement could be online professional development. I'm not sure who would set this up but the mile assessment addressed it...professional development online, available 24/7.

Do a presentation
The 7th graders in my district read a story by O. Henry, titled "After 20 Years." They love the surprise end to the story. I have had students rewrite the story from Jimmy's perspective and share out. I have also thought about having students create the front page of a newspaper, highlighting some of the elements in the story (the capture of "Silky" Bob, a story about why Bob was a wanted man, etc). The "articles" and main points of their rewrite could be presented in a PowerPoint presentation to the rest of the class.

Business Attire
During this module students are instructed on the differences between proper business dress such as business formal, business casual and casual. The text book along with my personal experience are the primary resources for this particular module. I would like to expand my resource pool for this section by including actual Human Resource professionals without them having to make a trip to my classroom. They could also use various employees to demonstrate "proper" business attire.

Student work portfolio
Throughout the year I would keep important projects students create individually and in groups. Then, as an "End of the Year" project, the students will use a digital camera to take pictures of these projects, themselves, and their group members. They will incorporate these pictures into Microsoft MovieMaker using their choice of (school appropriate) music as a background. Last, the students are to present their Year of Projects, or Portfolio to the class as an oral presentation. Extra Credit for adding voice recordings!

Do a presentation
When creating public service announcements, students can make use of technology to create andpresent the announcement. They could create this in the form of a powerpoint, act it out and film/present it, animate it, or act it out (live) and incorporate technology.
I would like to have staff communicate and collaborate using voicethreads or blogs. Teachers, students and parents could make Nettrekker (or something similar) accounts where they could share websites and communicate with each other.
voicethreads, blogs, various internet websites
Diane Conyers-Rizzo, Ravenna HS
Solutions to an environmental issue
Students can explore ways to deal with an issue like storm water management by researching and discussing this in small groups, and finding creative ways to manage stormwater.
voicethreads or wiki to discuss options; video or digital camaras to record storm water runoff;
powerpoint to report to others.
